Entry# 8 - Arrangements Are Made

“What's going on Dodge?” the police officer's tone was confrontational. He didn't seem very happy about our little meeting at all. “Why is he here?”

As he spoke the guard gave me a very cold look. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable to have an officer, someone in authority over me, staring down at me in this manner. I did my best to remain calm.

“Alright, alright.” Dodge began his smooth talking, hoping to lower the tension that was growing in the room. “I know this is unorthodox but I thought it would be better to bring him along because of the matter I want to discuss.”

“And just what matter is that?” The guard asked, his eyes stayed locked on me.

“Well before we get to that perhaps we need some introductions?” said Dodge. “Smith, I'd like you to meet my cellmate, Noob. Noob, this is Smith, my contact.”

I forced myself to look Smith in the eye and did my very best to not seem scared. Smith's expression never changed, but he did offer some sort of grunting noise as a sort of acknowledgment of me. That was a start I supposed.

Now that the formalities had been dispensed with it was time to get down to business. Dodge launched into a speech that I suspect he had rehearsed a few times before this moment.

“The truth is Smith, this meeting tonight is significant for one reason in particular.” Dodge began. “I'm doing more than the traditional request for supplies.”

Smith scowled at this. I got the impression that this new information wasn't something he was particularly glad to hear.

“You see Smith, Noob and I want to break out of Roblox Prison,” Dodge said. “And we also want to rob a jewelry store once we're free.”

There was a long and awkward silence once Dodge had finished this sentence. Both he and I stared at the man in the uniform, trying to determine just what he was thinking. His face was stony and expressionless. After a few moments, I began to wonder if he'd even comprehended what Dodge had said. Finally, Smith spoke.

“I see.” that was the only words that he spoke. From the expression on Dodge's face, I think he had expected this to go a little smoother than it was.

“Sooooo.....” Dodge began to speak but then trailed off. He was beginning to question whether this had been a good idea or not. But then Smith's facial features softened just slightly, and he started talking again.

“When were you wanting to do all this?” he asked Dodge.

“Tomorrow night,” replied Dodge. I was shocked at this but tried not to show it. Dodge was gambling now. He hadn't mentioned anything to me about leaving so soon!

“That's a pretty fast turnaround time.” Smith answered, “What tools will you need?”

“We'll need a laser cutter for the glass at the jewelry store. And some sort of transportation.” Dodge scratched his head as he tried to think of anything else we could use. “Oh! We need a copy of the master keycard to get out the main gate! We can secure all the other keys we need.
